Bargello stitch, also known as Fiamma, Flame or Florentine stitch, is usually a vertical straight stitch formed in graduated zig zag or wave patterns using multiple colours and shades. The repetitive design is both relaxing and easy to stitch, making Bargello tapestry ideal for beginners.

Most Bargello tapestry kits are counted tapestry kits and are worked on blank canvas using a chart or graph, but one or two kits do have the outline printed on the canvas, this is unusual, so please read the description carefully.
