Lest We Forget

Lest We Forget

I’ve been doing a lot of different crafting recently, most of it along the ‘Remembrance’ theme as there is a lot of activity in my village to put together an exhibition to remember the men from the village who lost their lives and to commemorate 100 years since the end of World War 1, I can crochet poppies in my sleep!

Then I remembered some fantastic slate artwork, painted by my good friend Don Walls that I still haven’t got it positioned in the garden yet, so I have lent it to the exhibition. (apologies for the bad photos)

Which in turn got me thinking about one of the most popular cross stitch kits I have ever stocked, ‘Remembrance’ a cross stitch kit by Twilleys of Stamford. A beautiful sepia design accented with bright red poppies.

Three very different crafts that I have had the pleasure to be involved with, so many ways to remember.

Lest We Forget,

Happy stitching,

Danielle
